BMBSCC opened in December of 1997, and was the first RC Banger club in the UK!
​
The club has been run since the start by Alec Quarman, a well known figure in the RC world. Starting in a small hall in Basildon, Essex (hence the name), the club has been located in a number of venues before settling at it's current location in Hadleigh Old Fire station in 2016. Alec is also the founding Chairman of the RCBWS, which runs a series of Championship rounds at various clubs around the UK.
Home of the infamous Anarchists RC Team.
The club has a spares shop at each meeting, stocking all your RC needs, as well as a selection of body shells.
In addition, 2018 saw the launch of Claire's Pitstop Snack Bar, offering hot and cold drinks, toasted sandwiches, and a varied selection of snacks and sweets.
A warm, friendly crowd, with plenty of help on offer. Lots of good banter amongst the regulars, and plenty of help and advice for visitors and newcomers.
